As we know, Windows OS isn’t perfect. One of the problems that happened to me recently volume icon. Simple, there is no icon in the right bottom part of the screen (on the taskbar). If you have the same problem, here is the fix. Rebooting won’t help, neither the system restore. Also, windows upgrade is useless. You must open the start menu and type at the ‘’Search programs and files’’ the word ‘’ regedit ’’.
This will take you to the registry editor. Find a ‘’TrayNotify’’ folder. If you have problems finding it, search (Menu Edith-Find) for the ‘’ PastIconsStream’’ and ‘’ IconStreams’’. They are in the same folder, so you will find them easily. Then delete them. You will get the confirmation dialog, but click yes. Then, exit from the registry editor. Right click on the taskbar and select ‘’Start task Manager’’. You can also go there by pressing + Alt + Delete, at the same time. Click on the ‘’processes’’ tab and find ‘’explorer.exe’’ and end that process. You will notice that the icons from your desktop and taskbar will disappear. Then, click on the menu ‘’file’’ and ‘’New task (Run…)’’.
Type the ‘’explorer.exe’’ or just the ‘’explorer’’ and press enter or click ok. You will see that the taskbar and all other icons are restored. Wait a few seconds and the volume icon in the taskbar will appear. If you have the volume icon when you start a computer the next time, then the fix was successful. If not, you will have to do this every time you turn on your computer, or install a new OS.
