Google has got a second version of the Cardboard. The Smartphone holder can convert any phone to a display for a virtual handset. The company has also announced creation of a rig that holds camera to capture video, software that can compile all the images together into a cohesive VR scene and consists of a program that brings virtual “field trips” to your school. Last year, the cardboard that was released had a folded box with two lenses that is considered to be the lowest denominator version of the virtual reality that could be availed by those who didn’t want to pay for a dedicated VR rig.
The users can see a few improvements in the new version of the Cardboard. It can be assembled much easily and has better buttons that any apps could have ever required. Google has a complete list of the companies that uses Cardboard. The Expedition kit for all the students contains a bunch of cardboards. Some smartphones and an android tablet is given to the teacher so that they can drive their student’s Cardboard headsets to a place where you can see the surroundings.
We are not sure if this idea of classroom studies will be appreciated by the parents or not but we are sure that the kids will love it. This is the best way in which you can interact with the kids by increasing their engagement with the lessons with the help of an on – screen presentation.
